The specific purpose of Grassroots Junior Tennis is to teach tennis as a lifetime recreation and educational sport.  Tennis classes are held year round and are available to young adults and children regardless of financial status.

We believe that all students should have the privilege to learn tennis from a professional tennis instructor, realizing their maximum potential and mastering a sport that is so much a part of their Coachella Valley heritage.  Our community supports prestigious professional tennis tournaments and has hundreds of courts for private and public recreational enjoyment.

                     
The youth of the Coachella Valley represent the 60% Caucasian, 30% Hispanic, and 10% Asian base of the year round residents.  Many of these students, perhaps as many as 50%, are near or below the poverty line.  With the cutbacks in physical education programs in our schools, tennis for these students is a luxury.
